We have received numerous requests from users wishing to modify the Shuruq time, and some have reported that the automatic calculation of prayer times is not always accurate. If you encounter this problem, here's how to solve it.
Step 1: Check and select the correct calculation method (Automatic)
First, make sure you have selected the correct prayer time calculation method:
Go to your dashboard.
Click on "Action".
Select "Configure".
Choose "Automatic" as the calculation source.
Select the calculation method corresponding to your country.
Click on "Save".
Step 2: Download the prayer calendar in CSV format
Next, you will need to download the prayer calendar for the current year:
Return to your dashboard.
Click on "Action".
Select "Timetable".
Choose the CSV format and the year 2025 (or the current year).
Click on "Validate".
A folder containing the prayer times for all 12 months will be downloaded automatically.
Step 3: Modify the CSV file
Now, you can modify the timings:
Open the CSV file for the current month. For example, for May, select file "5".
You will see all the prayer times for Fajr, Isha, as well as the Shuruq time.
To modify, simply change the times for the desired day.
Once the changes are made, save the file.
Step 4: Upload the modified CSV files
The last step is to upload your modified files to Mawaqit:
Return to your dashboard.
Click on "Action".
Select "Configure".
This time, change the calculation source from "Automatic" to "Calendar".
Upload the modified CSV files for each month.
Click on "Save".
And there you have it! Now, to adjust prayer times, simply modify the CSV files and upload them again.
