Some Android phone users may encounter difficulties hearing the Adhan on their device due to advanced system parameters. If you are facing this issue, please follow the steps below to resolve it:
🔔 1. Check the Notification Mode in the MAWAQIT App
On the home page of your MAWAQIT app, make sure notifications are set to the dome (Adhan) instead of the bell (beep).
Then, go to the Settings tab (bottom right corner of the app) to select the Adhan of your choice.
🔊 2. Verify Your Sound Settings
From your phone’s Settings menu, ensure that all sound options are enabled.
👉 On Android, there are three types of sound settings: media, ringtone, and notifications.
The Adhan uses the notifications channel, so make sure it is not muted.
📩 3. Allow Notifications for the MAWAQIT App
Go to: Settings > Applications > MAWAQIT.
Make sure that notification permissions are enabled.
On the same page, check that MAWAQIT is installed on the internal memory (not an SD card).
Also, ensure that your phone is not in silent mode.
🔋 4. Remove MAWAQIT from Battery Optimization
Some Android systems automatically place apps under “monitoring” to optimize battery usage. This can interfere with the Adhan.
The latest version of MAWAQIT prompts users to allow the app to run in the background.
To verify this setting manually, go to:
Settings > Device Maintenance > Battery > Unmonitored Apps > Add Applications → Select MAWAQIT.
⭐ 5. Make MAWAQIT Notifications a Priority
To ensure the Adhan is always delivered:
Go to: Settings > Notifications > MAWAQIT.
Enable the priority notifications option.
🔄 6. Restart Your Phone
After applying the above changes, restart your phone to ensure the settings are activated properly.
