This is not required for home or other types of installations.
Now you have 2 options to install Mawaqit system at your mosque or home
OPTION 1 : Install our Android TV application
We do highly recommend this option because it's easier and cheaper. Android Boxes are available at stores or online marketplaces.
📶 INTERNET REQUIRED (Cable, Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G)
However, this version requires an internet connection
(This version will soon also work even when Internet is offline, this upgrade is coming soon insh'Allah).
Here 2 Android TV boxes we do recommend :
*If you buy them from the link below, MAWAQIT will receive a small commission from Amazon, this help us to keep our service free of charge 🙏
You can also use any Smart TV that runs on Android 9.0 and above, and simply install the MAWAQIT app available on Google Play.
See here how to Open and setup Mawaqit App.
That's all, you are ready to enjoy being part of the MAWAQIT network, and start displaying accurate prayer times and useful mosque information.
OPTION 2: Install our system on the Raspberry pi 4
Online + Offline mode (For mosques with no internet access).
This option is more expensive, and is recommended for you if you don't actually have an internet connection (or if it's very unstable).
Just buy a Raspberry Pi 4 and follow the installation steps below :
Download our system image here
Connect the micro SD card to your computer through the dedicated port or to a USB SD card reader
Download the Etcher software then install it on your computer
Flash the mawaqit.xz system image on the micro SD card with Etcher
Congratulations! You now installed the system image on the memory card of your Raspberry Pi. Just it in to any TV Screen (hdmi cable required), and follow the steps to activate your Mosque.
